Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 3, 2026. Learn how we handle your authentication credentials, audit data, and AI-generated reports.
Secure Authentication
User identities and passwords are managed securely through Supabase auth with full RLS protection.
Your Data is Private
We do not sell, rent, or distribute the website URLs you submit or the SEO reports we generate.
Safe Processing
AI-based recommendations are parsed via secure proxy functions to protect internal project keys.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our automated SEO auditing platform, AuditGenie collects specific categories of details when you interact with our platform:
- Authentication Details: Email registers, Google OAuth tokens, and password hashes. This data is handled directly by our backend authentication provider (Supabase Auth).
- User Profiles & Settings: Display names, custom agency/branding configurations (e.g., logo settings and company details for white-label options).
- Audited Domains & URLs: The system stores the target website URLs you submit for crawlers to analyze meta-data, site structure, links, and speed.
- Scan & AI Outputs: Checklist audit scores, raw crawler datasets, and the 30-day recommended plans created for your projects by our AI engines.
2. Security & AI Data Processing
AuditGenie acts as an intermediary platform to streamline search engine optimization scans. We take data protection seriously:
- AI Audits: When requesting AI-powered 30-day recommendations, domain metrics and crawl issues are parsed to AI processors (OpenAI/Groq/xAI) securely. No personally identifiable user billing info is ever shared with these APIs.
- Server-Side Credentials: API integrations and environment variables are strictly computed on authorized server functions. Clients have zero access to keys, preserving absolute platform integrity.
- Row Level Security (RLS): Project files and audit reports are bound directly to the creator's user account using PostgreSQL RLS policies in Supabase. Other users cannot view your reports unless you explicitly generate a public share link.
3. Cookies & Client Storage
We use default browser storage technologies to improve the user experience:
- Theme Settings: We store your UI theme preference (dark/light/system mode) on client-side cookies or localStorage to prevent blinking when reloading.
- Session Cookies: Temporary cookies are generated to verify authentication during navigation and prevent requiring sign-in on every page request.
4. Data Control & Deletion Rights
You retain ultimate authority over what metadata you maintain in our database. You can manage your workspace by going to the Settings page:
- Delete specific audits or delete whole projects directly from your dashboard. Doing so deletes all related crawl databases.
- If you desire a full account deletion, you may request our support desk to purge your email record from the server.
